2022 NESA Oustanding Eagle Scout Announced
Five new NESA Outstanding Eagle Scouts were announced at the GGAC’s Volunteer Celebration this afternoon. The NOESA recognize notable Eagle Scouts who had either performed distinguished service.

The 2021 Eagle Scout Class featured 564 new Eagles, one DESA, six NOESA, and an Eagle Project of the Year.
The Golden Gate Area Council’s NESA Committee kindly request nominations for the 2021 NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award. Nominations can be submitted online and are due no later than 11:59 pm on November 7, 2021.
Michael Miller grew up in Oregon, earning his Eagle with Troop 14 of the Crater Lake Council. A Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, Michael served as the Section Chief for W-1A (State of Oregon). Over the years, he has volunteered in many scouting rules, including as Scoutmaster for his now Eagle Scout son. Today Micahel continues to serve the Golden Gate Area Council as a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
Ben Daly, one of the councils newest NESA Outstanding Eagle Scouts. Ben comes from a family of scouters and has been a life long scouter himself, starting as a tiger at the age of seven. He earned his Eagle in 2008 from troop 911 of Pleasanton, Calif. As a scout Ben attended the World Jamboree in 2007, and worked on both Royaneh Camp and NYLT staff. He continues to give his time as a volunteer to NYLT along with his parents and wife.
At the 2021 GGAC Council Volunteer Recognition Event six eagles were recognized with Outstanding Eagle Scout awards. In addition, Adithya Palle won the Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year award.
Calvin Masuda earned his Eagle in 1973 and was recognized as an Outstanding Eagle Scout in 2011. He spent most of his time in the Twin Valley district, working with Pack 916, Troop 941, and multiple Crews.
