2023 Eagle Scout, Quartermaster & Venture Summit Award Scholarships!

Scholarship Window Closes In…

Golden Gate Area Council Eagle Scout, Quartermaster, and Venture Summit Award recipients are invited to apply for undergraduate college/vocational student scholarships offered by Eagle Scout Scholarships, a local IRC 501(c)(3) charitable organization. 

Applicants must be a graduating high school senior or an enrolled college or vocational school student.  The deadline for submitting completed applications for 2023 scholarship consideration is May 15, 2023.  Be sure to carefully follow the application instructions.  You can obtain the application form and instructions by downloading it here or contacting the Eagle Scout Scholarships Scholarship Committee at PO Box 949, Alamo CA 94507, or its treasurer John McClintic at [email protected].

Eagle Scout Scholarships makes scholarship award determinations on a non-discriminatory basis in accordance with applicable law, and based on a combination of merit and need.  Scholarship award recipients will be notified by mail and will be announced at Scouting’s Highest Honors Recognition Event on June 4, 2023 at 2pm at the Soda Center at St Mary’s College in Moraga.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL APPLICANTS:

Be a Scout from Golden Gate Area Council.
Have earned the Eagle Scout, Quartermaster, or Venture Summit award.
Be a graduating high school senior or an undergraduate college/vocational student no later than completion of the junior year.
Provide an official transcript of grades for the last two (2) years.
Have demonstrated leadership ability in Scouting and a strong record of participation in activities outside of Scouting.
Provide a recommendation letter from a volunteer or professional Scout leader who knows you personally. In addition, you may provide letter(s) from teachers, coaches, religious leaders, counselors, etc. who know you personally.
You may provide information about why you need financial aid. The statement must be signed by the applicant and countersigned by the parent/guardian.

Applications become the property of the ESS and will not be returned to the applicant. Scholarship grant recipients will be notified by letter.
Scholarship grant recipients may be asked to submit a photo of themselves and be acknowledged in our website and in ESS press releases.
Submitting an application does not guarantee that a scholarship will be granted. The decision of the ESS selection committee is final.
