Deadlines extended for Eagle Scouts to apply for NESA scholarships
The deadline for this year’s scholarships has been extended to Feb. 12 to allow the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts the opportunity to apply. Young women who have earned the Eagle Scout Award from Oct. 1, 2020, to Feb. 8, 2021, will be the inaugural group and have their Eagle Scout credentials dated Feb. 8, 2021.

Eagle Scouts have been leading positive change in their communities for more than a century. That tradition continues with the historic inaugural class of Female Eagle Scouts. Help celebrate the leadership accomplishments of the inaugural class as we highlight the positive impact Scouts make in communities every day.

Plan a Court of Honor
Just as your unit would have a Court of Honor for other ranks and awards, there should be a special Eagle Scout Court of Honor for new Eagles. Some Courts of Honor are done for a single scout, while some are done with multiple scouts.

Glenn and Melinda Adams Service Project of the Year
The National Eagle Scout Association established the Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams national Eagle Scout service project of the year award (ESSPY) to recognize valuable service of an exceptional nature by an Eagle Scout candidate to a religious institution, a school, community or other entity through completion of an Eagle Scout project.
