On July 28, 2022, in a small ceremony at the Oakland City Hall, Apara Sai Jell was recognized by the Golden Gate Area Council as the 2022 National Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year awardee.
On January 20, 2022, the National Eagle Scout Association officially retired using paper membership applications, moving entirely to an online system.
Euan McManus earned his Eagle with Troop 152 of Oakley, Calif. two months before turning 14 and is on a quest to earn every merit badge. He has attended World and National Jamboree and has visited Brownsea Island in the United Kingdom. Euan’s passion for STEM has led to him earning multiple STEM Nova and Supernova awards, provided him with an idea for his award-winning Eagle Project, a focus for study in college, and hopefully a career.
