Eagle Scout | Spotlight

Eagle Scout Spotlight is a weekly blog post highlighting individuals who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Eagles are given a set of prepared questions in writing and they respond to them as they see fit.  Responses may be edited for spelling mistakes, but they are the words and thoughts of each Eagle Scout.

Do you know of an Eagle Scout that should be spotlighted or have a question you want to ask future spotlights?  Visit our request form to share.

Spotlight: Kathryn Block

Eagle Scout Kathryn Block

This week’s Eagle Scout Spotlight is with Inaugural Female Eagle Scout Kathryn Block. Kathryn earned her Eagle at the age of 12 from troop 514 of Discovery Bay. A passion for horses naturally leads to her favorite merit badge being Horsemanship. Kathryn is also joined in the Eagle’s nest by her brother.

[Being an Eagle Scout] means that now I am expected to be able to keep helping people.
