At the 2023 Scouting’s Highest Honors Recognition Event, Scout Executive Mike Hale (1976) announced a leadership transition within the GGAC NESA community. Calvin Masuda (1973), who has served as the NESA Committee Chair for an admirable 13 years, has passed the baton to Trevor Bormann (2006), introducing a fresh perspective and innovative ideas to the role.
Calvin, whose journey began in the Legacy SFBAC, firmly believes that a change in leadership is necessary to foster the growth and development of our esteemed NESA community. Recognizing the importance of new insights and continuous progress, Calvin wholeheartedly supports Trevor as the candidate for this position.
Trevor brings an impressive array of accomplishments to his new role as the NESA Committee Chair. He has been honored with the Outstanding Eagles Scout and Silver Beaver Awards. Trevor achieved the rank of Eagle in 2006 with Twin Valley’s Troop 941. His involvement in the council’s communications team and national NESA communication efforts has provided him with invaluable experiences and relationships, ideally equipping him to spearhead the advancement of GGAC NESA.
We request that all members of the GGAC NESA community rally behind Trevor, extending the same unwavering support they have shown Calvin throughout his tenure.
On behalf of the entire GGAC NESA community, we thank Calvin for his exceptional leadership, steadfast commitment, and the extraordinary bonds he has fostered. Serving as a guide and inspiration to us as part of this remarkable group of devoted Eagles has been an immense privilege.
As we embark on this new chapter, we invite every member of the NESA committee to wholeheartedly embrace this leadership transition and offer their support and collaboration to Trevor.
Together, let us forge ahead to strengthen our GGAC NESA community and relentlessly pursue excellence in all our endeavors.
