The Distinguished Eagle Scouts of the Golden Gate Area Council

The Golden Gate Area Council’s NESA committee is excited to announce a refreshed version of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award page. With help from volunteers, council professionals, and national professionals, the refreshed page preserves the history and prestige of each Distinguished Eagle Scout Award. At the 2021 GGAC Council Volunteer Recognition Event six eagles were recognized with Outstanding Eagle Scout awards. In addition, Adithya Palle won the Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year award.

Deadlines extended for Eagle Scouts to apply for NESA scholarships

The deadline for this year’s scholarships has been extended to Feb. 12 to allow the inaugural class of female Eagle Scouts the opportunity to apply. Young women who have earned the Eagle Scout Award from Oct. 1, 2020, to Feb. 8, 2021, will be the inaugural group and have their Eagle Scout credentials dated Feb. 8, 2021.
